Overseas Applicants

As with any pupil, the first step for those applying from outside the United Kingdom is filling out our online application form. This must be accompanied with the £50 registration fee and a copy of the child’s passport and most recent school report. The application must be filled out in English.

We will then invite the pupil to sit an entrance assessment either at Albyn School or at their current school if staff at that school are happy to administer the assessment on our behalf. We may ask your child to sit an English test through the UK Independent Schools’ Entry Test (UKiset). These tests can be taken all over the world at an authorised test centre. More information on this testing can be found at www.ukiset.com.

Once your child has completed the testing process and has been offered a place, we will require confirmation of this acceptance.

If your child does not hold a UK passport or does not hold a visa allowing them to attend school in the UK, they will be required to apply for a student visa. We can assist with this process for those applicants who meet our selection criteria and we can apply to the UK government’s Home Office for a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) number.  To find out more information about the student visas, please visit https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration/student-visas. or you can contact our Admissions Team.
