Six Albyn School pupils explore universities in London and Cambridge

Six pupils from S5 and S6, along with their dedicated educators Dr Girdwood and Mrs Prentice, embarked on an exciting journey during their summer break. Their mission? To explore the esteemed universities of London and Cambridge, seeking insight into their potential academic futures.

Their adventure started at the iconic London Bridge where they could not resist playing the station’s famous public pipe organ. From there, they made their way to Bloomsbury for a self-guided tour of the University College London campus.

The group then split into two. While some pupils headed to the Strand Campus of King’s College London (KCL) for a tour of the facilities lead by current students, others went to see the KCL Medical School at Guy’s Hospital.

The following day, Albyn School pupils attended the Cambridge University Open Day. Surrounded by centuries of academic tradition and excellence, they glimpsed the boundless opportunities that awaited them before catching their flight back to Aberdeen.
