Albyn School’s Model United Nations Club took part in St George’s School event

Last term, five pupils from Albyn School Model United Nations (UN) Club travelled to St George’s School in Edinburgh to compete at their Model UN conference.

Albyn School’s delegation represented India in a range of committees and at the general assembly. Sophie (S6), Evie (S4), Adwait (S3), Ethan (S3), and Michas (S2) discussed topics ranging from the conflict in Kashmir to worldwide deaths caused by tuberculosis.

Michas and Evie took to the stage in front of more than 100 delegates to submit an amendment to a resolution regarding conflict in the South China Sea.

Michas received the Outstanding Delegate award for his committee (SPECPOL). This is a fantastic achievement and even more impressive as this was his first Model UN conference. Well done to all involved!
