Albyn School Welcomes the Polish School

Welcome to Albyn!

From Saturday 4 September, Albyn School will host the Aberdeen Polish School each Saturday from 9am – 3pm. Established in 2010, the Polish School caters for pupils aged between 3 and 18 and has a pupil roll of over 450. Pupils and staff from the Polish School will have access to Primary classrooms, classrooms on the Maths floor and the Lower School Library.

Stefan Horsman, Headmaster at Albyn School said:

“I am delighted that we are hosting the Polish School here at Albyn. Having grown up in a bilingual household myself, it’s great that the Polish School is helping so many pupils to continue with their language skills and learn about their cultural heritage”

Joanna Schmitz, Head of the Polish School commented:

“We are delighted to open this new chapter in working together with Albyn School. This year will be an important one for preparing our 19 children to sit their GCSE exams in Polish. Having access to amazing facilities, such as interactive/smart boards, beautiful libraries and open space, will help to enhance the curriculum opportunities that we are able to offer to our pupils.”

We look forward to welcoming the Polish School into the Albyn community!
