Scottish Swimming Olympian, Hannah Miley MBE, delivered a brilliant and very important workshop with our S4-6 pupils called Well Woman: Periods, Puberty and Performance.
This workshop is part of the ‘#SayPeriod campaign: The importance of calling it what it is’ where 50 elite female athletes – including Commonwealth, European and Olympic medallists – are aiming to get rid of the stigma around the language used when talking about periods.
One of our Young Enterprise groups, Period. attended this workshop and found it really useful as they have created self-care packages targeting period poverty in the UK. For every package they sell, they will give one away for free to others in need. Watch this space for more information about this fantastic initiative!
A huge thank you to Hannah Miley for a very insightful and interesting afternoon.
