Trips and Visits

At Albyn School we are committed to making the most of learning opportunities that exist for our pupils outside the classroom. In addition to the vast array of co-curricular activities on offer to the Lower and Upper Schools, we recognise the importance of trips and visits that enhance the curriculum as well as trips that provide new experiences and challenges to our pupils.

In Upper School, our annual Activities Week offers pupils a diverse range of experiential learning opportunities as well as providing the chance for pupils to forge friendships and create lifelong memories.

In S1 and S2, pupils spend the week with their cohort and are normally based at an Activity Centre where they have the chance to participate in a variety of outdoor activities. In 2023-24, these camps will be at Ardentinny and at Ulswater.

Pupils in S3, S4 and S5 have a number of different alternatives to select from such as local Active, Creative or Community options or trips to Belfast, Barcelona or Croatia. Activities Week options change on an annual basis and parents are advised of these and associated costs well in advance.
