Our P5 pupils welcomed Mr Stephen Flynn, our local MP, to Albyn School on Friday and dived into the topic of plastic pollution.
Our children had been developing their letter-writing skills and wrote letters to Mr Flynn, expressing their concerns about the increasing level of plastic waste in our oceans. They were delighted he decided to come answer their questions in person.
Mr Flynn said he shared their concerns and talked about what action is being taken. Our pupils also used this opportunity to quiz him about the life of an MP.
Following the Q&A, Headmaster Stefan Horsman took Mr Flynn on a tour of the school, highlighting the fantastic opportunities an Albyn School education can offer children.
