Wellbeing

Introduction

Nurturing every child's wellbeing

We prioritise the wellbeing of our pupils, providing robust pastoral care to support their emotional and social development. Our dedicated staff work closely with pupils to ensure they feel valued and understood.

Our Clans

We have a well established house system with each pupil from the Nursery to the Upper School assigned to a ‘Clan’ when they join the school. Where there are siblings, relatives or children of Former Pupils, we endeavour to keep all in the family ‘Clan’, building a sense of belonging and community spirit throughout the whole school. We host regular Clan events encouraging interaction and teamwork between pupils of all ages.

Support from the outset

From your child’s first day in the Lower School you will witness our pastoral care in action. Your class teacher will be the first point of contact for any pastoral issues as they will see your child every day and will offer support, encouragement and care to help all pupils achieve their very best.

Our Lower School has a rigorous behaviour management and anti-bullying strategy, which is effective in minimising disruptive behaviour.

Our commitment to nurturing health and wellbeing

We have a dedicated Health and Wellbeing Centre on site with a School Nurse and Counsellor available for pupils. Having this resource in-house means pupils are supported and develop an understanding of a healthy lifestyle from an early age. From the early years our pupils spend time with our Nurses to learn about healthy eating habits and self care.
