Transition to P1
Introduction
In most cases, our Preschool pupils of school age will progress automatically into Primary 1 at Albyn School.
Our Preschool team’s knowledge of your child’s capabilities negates the need for formal assessment in most cases. If we feel that your child would benefit from continuing in Preschool for another year we will advise you of this.
Throughout the year, Preschool Children who will be going to school in the following August will have the chance to attend events with the Albyn School Primary 1 class. This is a great opportunity for them to visit the Lower School Early Excellence classes and become familiar with the surroundings.
During May and June, there will be more formal transition sessions organised for the Preschool children who will be joining Primary 1 at Albyn School in August.
