Co-curricular
Education extends far beyond the classroom
We believe co-curricular involvement plays a vital role in supporting academic success and personal wellbeing. Participation in our extensive programme builds key skills such as teamwork, resilience, creativity, and leadership and is central to our mission of developing well-rounded, confident, and capable young people.
Discovering new skills
Whether through sport, the arts, pursuing interest in a subject or service opportunities, pupils are encouraged to explore their passions, discover new interests, and grow as individuals.
With over 100 clubs, societies, and activities on offer each term, there is something for everyone!
Through our Pupils Eyes:
“One highlight of my Albyn years has been netball. I have played at Albyn since P3 and co-captained the Senior A team this past year. Netball allowed me to meet and bond with so many girls that I wouldn't have otherwise.

Participating in the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) offers pupils a unique opportunity to develop essential life skills such as leadership, teamwork, discipline and resilience. Through challenging outdoor activities, military-style training and community service, pupils build confidence and a strong sense of responsibility. CCF also encourages physical fitness, strategic thinking and a deeper understanding of commitment and service.
CCF is an educational partnership between the school and the Ministry of Defence.

Our F24 club is hugely popular with pupils challenged to design, build and race an electric car.
We recently retained our International Champions status for a second year running after winning the Greenpower International Finals 2024 at the Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex.
We have three kit cars and a very committed and enthusiastic team who are involved in all aspects of team management from building, adapting and testing the cars to driving at the races, marketing, sponsorship and logistics.
