Co-curricular

Education extends far beyond the classroom

We believe co-curricular involvement plays a vital role in supporting academic success and personal wellbeing. Participation in our extensive programme builds key skills such as teamwork, resilience, creativity, and leadership and is central to our mission of developing well-rounded, confident, and capable young people.

Discovering new skills

Whether through sport, the arts, pursuing interest in a subject or service opportunities, pupils are encouraged to explore their passions, discover new interests, and grow as individuals.

With over 100 clubs, societies, and activities on offer each term, there is something for everyone!

Our Co-curricular Activities

Here are just a few of our clubs and societies that pupils can get involved with...

Languages: French Film Club, Jeux at Activités, Spanish Film Club, French School Web Radio Club, Duolingo, Sign Language

Creative Arts: Acting Ensemble, Choir, Covers Band, Orchestra, Sound Engineering/Radio, Origami, Show and Play

Sports: Athletics, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Hockey, Laser Run, Netball, Skiing, Table Tennis, Cricket

We are a registered centre of the Duke of Edinburgh awards, the world’s leading youth achievement award, aimed at young people aged 14-24. The majority of our pupils will take part in this scheme and find achieving the award life-changing.

Participating in the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) offers pupils a unique opportunity to develop essential life skills such as leadership, teamwork, discipline and resilience. Through challenging outdoor activities, military-style training and community service, pupils build confidence and a strong sense of responsibility. CCF also encourages physical fitness, strategic thinking and a deeper understanding of commitment and service.

CCF is an educational partnership between the school and the Ministry of Defence.

Our F24 club is hugely popular with pupils challenged to design, build and race an electric car.

We recently retained our International Champions status for a second year running after winning the Greenpower International Finals 2024 at the Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex.

We have three kit cars and a very committed and enthusiastic team who are involved in all aspects of team management from building, adapting and testing the cars to driving at the races, marketing, sponsorship and logistics.

Others: Astronomy, Book Club, eSports, Mindful Colouring, Mythology, Knitting, Sci-Fi Film and Fantasy, Gardening, Magazine and Video, Eco Club, Equality, Diversion and Inclusion Club
